The Structure & Preservation Meeting scheduled for 2024 will take place from May 22nd to May 26th. The pandemic, which emerged after the preservation rhinoplasty meeting where 900 people gathered in 2018, prevented us from holding large conferences, but during the pandemic, through the Zoom meetings we conducted, preservation rhinoplasty was recognized as a concept and started to be frequently used by surgeons in different parts of the world, and for the past 4 years, we have been discussing how we combine preservation techniques with structure rhinoplasty techniques and our indications. 

Undoubtedly, rhinoplasty has come a long way in the past 5 years and Istanbul has become a very important city in this field. Currently, more than 1000 rhinoplasty surgeries are performed in Turkey daily. As pandemic restrictions have also been lifted in Asian countries, we expect the participation of over 800 people this year. Throughout our meetings, where participants have played a key role, we have always listened to your opinions. 

Some of our friends have reported that the meetings are at an advanced level, and due to the limited duration of the meetings, which do not exceed 5 days, we couldn’t cover fundamental topics as we had to accommodate many new approaches. But this year, we are finding a solution. 

We are organizing Rhino Basic Zoom meetings with a team consisting of faculty members who have a deep understanding of rhinoplasty literature. The meetings will start 24 weeks before the actual event and end 3 days before it begins. They will be live-streamed and participants will be able to watch them using their online accounts for 6 months. 

We have also listened to the demands for more live surgeries and plan to include our new colleagues who achieve excellent results in performing a high number of rhinoplasties. 

Selecting a faculty is indeed a challenging task, as there are undoubtedly many great rhinoplasty surgeons that we are not familiar with. We will organize an online notification competition and include the top 5 individuals in our faculty.
